Running London Town

Day 2 in London and a short 3 miler around the hood. I think I could have kept running but wanted to make sure that I was able to find my way back. Running while traveling is fun because instead of focusing on “I don’t want to do this”, I’m focusing on “remember that building, and that building, so I can find my way back.”

Day 3 I decided to go for a longer run. This time, I had my phone with me so I knew I could always find my way back. I ran across the London Bridge, continued on the South Bank of the Thames and back into City on Tower Bridge. I zig zagged down smaller City streets and found a lot of interesting sights, like an old school fruit stand in front of a super modern building across the street from a medieval looking monastery. In grand total I ran 5 miles that day and it look me almost an hour. I’m surprised by the speed of that time considering the fact that I stopped a lot to take photos.

Day 4 is a hang over day. No running but will do a spin class in the afternoon after some bacon.
