BRIck: Bike, Run, Ick

I didn’t get much sleep on Friday night from the anxiety of Saturday morning’s training session. We were scheduled for a 26 mile bike and 6-7 mile run. But due to a late start combined with the need to get out of Central Park by 8:30am, we ended up with a 1.5 hour bike ride, and 1 hour run.

Cycling was fun. As I left Bryce in the dust going up the northern hills for the 3rd time, I heard him say, “wow you got good at hills.” Though I love biking, I’m getting bored of looping around Central Park.

Run was not fun. I just plain didn’t want to run. It wasn’t physical - it was all mental. I made up my mind before getting off my bike that I didn’t want to run so I run/walked most of it.
