As the weather started getting warmer, I’ve switched to iced coffee in the mornings. The only problem with that is biking to work with a cup of cold, large coffee. Navigating the streets of NYC, most days in a skirt, sometimes clipped in, is hairy on it’s own. But to do that with just one hand on the handle bars and the other balancing a COLD cup is kinda stressful.
There are some days that I get into the office and my shoulders are tense from gripping and balancing. My heart rate is also elevated trying not to get hit by a car or a pedestrian.
Then today, I discovered the water bottle cage! I’ve tried this before, but I think it was with a shorter cup, and without all the extra padding from the napkins. Today, my large iced coffee from Joe’s fit perfectly. I rode to work in smiles.
